Rock Lane Countryside Footpath
Client: Halton Borough Council
Objectives
Resurface a 1.5km country footpath using resin bound gravel, selected by clients by samples provided, to create a smooth weather proof surface for the public including wheelchair uses , cyclists, pushchairs and runners
Scope of Works
Devegetate and scarify to prepare for new surface. Provide golden gravel resin bound surface course to surface. Work completed on a retreating basis to allow footpath to be partially opened at suitable junctions.
Outcome
Project Completed ahead of schedule. Local community feedback very positive and footpath usage increased
Testimonials
The works were carried out in a timely and professional manner with little disruption to the general public. Arnian ensured that the path was passable and that members of the public were catered for at all times. Since the path was laid we have had a good amount of rain which so far the path has handled well and it appears to have been well received by regular walkers of the pathway. I would certainly use Arnian again for works on Halton’s public footpath network.
